I've been eager to see this chapter posted.
Chapter 24 is the first of two chapters that take place at the lake house. In some ways, the chapters are "laid back." But I like the opportunity for Mike and Lance to get to know each other more fully.
I'm hoping these chapters will resonate with you, the readers.
Once Mike and Trent eventually head out, I can offer this tidbit of foreshadowing — it won't be the last we see of the lake house.
Sir, great chapter!
ReplyDeleteTheir love is becoming more comfortable. Nice. Trent's momma better get her attitude adjusted or he may be gone.
This was a thoroughly satisfying chapter - aside from Trent's interaction with his mom. She needs to come to terms with the fact that he's an adult now, and she has to stop treating him like a child. On the other hand, Trent needs to realize that she means well, even if she has all the tact of a steamroller, and she's still coming to terms with his being gay.
ReplyDeleteI have read both chapters from the lake house. I wish I could have been there in the corner and just basked in the young love and Mike and Trent.
ReplyDeleteMy partner and I are five years apart, but we started in our 30s. There was never a sense of age difference. Coming out of college and falling for an older man just has a wonderful mystique to it. Thank you for writing this story.
You have changed rocking chairs for me forever.
