My friends are quite possibly the most important thing in my life. Each Thanksgiving, when I reflect on what I am appreciative of, friends are top of the list (aside from my other half). They are closer to me than family.
Alas, following Chapter 27, Lance and Trent have suffered a strain on their friendship. Chapter 28 feels those effects.
Lance and Trent are close enough that, like most friendships, they can weather this storm. However, Lance will need to make changes. Stay tuned on that.
What's scary about this chapter is it can prompt me to go back and realize I used to talk to certain friends (usually long distance) all the time but now hardly ever see them — or call. That is probably just a natural progression of life, but it can still be sad when you think about it.
Can you think of someone you used to do a lot with and now hardly ever do? You should drop them a text, an email or, better yet, just grab a phone and check on them. A global pandemic is a perfect time to let someone know you are thinking about them.
Friendships are one of life's greatest gifts.
Chapter 28: Incredibly wonderful! It was full of deep understanding, even if some was gut wrenching. Lance, well…
