Forgiveness

Hey friends,

Chapter 10 is posted.

Read Chapter 10 here.

One of the key things about this chapter I like is the subject of forgiveness. While Trent will struggle for a while about his incident at the club [Will he tell Mike or will he not?], he is going to find it hard to forgive himself. But the subject is more relevant to one of the other characters.

So often people tend to hold on to grudges. In many ways, people are as happy as they decide to be. They need to grasp on to that. No matter what challenges we have — and life can throw curve balls — we typically have blessings in life we can be grateful for. While it seems hard, we really can choose to be happy.

Forgiveness can do a world of good. Hanging on to pain sometimes seems counter-productive.

Be well,

Timothy

  1. Another fabulous chapter. Apologies are always good, but we shall see. Lance seems lost.

  2. I had no idea you had another story from Trent's point of view over spring break towards graduation! Just got caught up. I like the story so far. Not completely convinced Trent can stay committed to Mike. He seems to be too tempted by others. Even though he was clearly raped, he didn't try too hard to leave before it happened. I've turned down plenty of drinks in my lifetime. I don't like Trent very much in this story, but I like your storytelling. I love Mike and feel bad that he has no idea what's been going on. Lance has ulterior motives, and I'm sure Trent is gonna give in. I guess I'm just disappointed in Trent. Just because he's young and gay doesn't mean he has to be void of morals and standards.

    1. I have to strongly disagree with your opinion on Trent. He's a young adult who has had no dating experience outside his relationship with Mike. It's unclear whether the drinks were drugged, and even if they weren't drugged, it is not Trent's fault that he was assaulted after being pressured to drink alcohol. Blaming the victim is entirely inappropriate here.
